Wisconsin writing contests announced

Wisconsin writers can vie for cash prizes in eight different categories in the annual Council for Wisconsin Writers competition. The contest is for works published in 2008. Categories include books of fiction and non-fiction, poetry, short fiction and non-fiction, children's literature, outdoor writing and a set of five individual poems. Winners will receive $500 and a weeklong residency at Edenfred, a mansion used as a writer's retreat in the Highlands neighborhood of Madison. The Council ...
