We want to honor those upsets, miracle finishes, win streaks. and heroic individual efforts, that every community cherishes. Many of these are every bit as marvelous as a Super Bowl or World Series legend. They were just played on a smaller field or court and remained a local memory.

In our search for “great games” we have come across two wonderful stories out of Minnesota high school boys’ basketball: Lynd high school’s record in the 1946 State Tournament and Edgerton’s winning the Tournament in 1960.
