Nestled in the Otter Tail Tourism region of Western Minnesota is the community of Detroit Lakes with its two public beaches, one of which is the Mile Long Beach right on Detroit Lake! Take your boat out on the water to catch some of the most delicious fish anywhere, fresh, wholesome and perfect when cooked over a campfire!
You may want to visit the observations pier to just relax and watch the waves come in and see the beauty of the area. You will be able to listen to the music coming in from the restored Pavilion which is over 90 years old.
